We are overjoyed to welcome you to an evening of food, connection, appreciation and games! We hope you will join us as we welcome our City of Kawartha Lakes and County of Haliburton Early Learning Community for an evening to unwind and connect. This is also a time to appreciate each other and all the meaningful work we do with children and families each day.
This event is free to educators and staff working in licensed childcare (home and centre based), EarlyON programs, Authorized Recreation and Special Needs Resourcing with City of Kawartha Lakes and County of Haliburton. We look forward to celebrating all the amazing work you do with the children and families in our community!

SHINING STARS: We are also excited to announce our 2026 Shining Stars Nominations are OPEN! Educators working in our local early learning and childcare community will be able to nominate a co-worker, team member or colleague for any of the categories of Shining Stars. Please ensure your nominations are genuine and meaningful. This should be someone that inspires you and you are proud to work alongside with! All Shining Star nominations will be recognized in each category with a certificate and one person per category will be selected as the 2026 Shining Star.
We will announce the Shining Star for each category at our Kudos and Connection Dinner on November 26th. The person you are nominating does not have to be in attendance. We will share the names (and photos of anyone present to accept their certificates at the dinner) on the blog.
