About ELQI
The Early Learning Quality Initiative (ELQI) promotes professional development and high-quality early learning programs within the City of Kawartha Lakes and County of Haliburton.
We offer a variety of professional development and learning opportunities to our early learning community.
ELQI staff are available to meet with early learning professionals individually or in teams to support the quality of early learning programming.
ELQI opportunities and services are available to all educators and staff working within the early learning community, which includes those from:
- Licensed childcare (both home- and centre-based)*
- EarlyON
- Authorized recreation programs
- Special needs resourcing
* Unlicensed providers are also welcome to join in most opportunities offered although there may be a minimal fee associated with some.
