2025 Shining Stars

On October 23rd, as part of our Appreciation Event, we joyfully celebrated the incredible educators in the City of Kawartha Lakes and County of Haliburton. A highlight of our evening was to recognize the 2025 Shining Stars—each nominated by their colleagues for the amazing work they do! To make it extra special, an outside guest reviewed all the category descriptions and carefully read through every nomination to select the shining star in each category. What an inspiring way to recognize the dedication, passion, and gifts of the educators throughout the early learning community!

Congratulations to our 2025 Shining Stars and nominees in each of the categories.

Continual Learner -these shining stars not only value on-going learning and professional learning opportunities, but their learning is observed to impact their work and practice.

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Justice and Accessibility – these shining stars go above and beyond to incorporate inclusive and anti-bias learning/practices into their daily work.

Please take the time to review our 2025 Shining Star presentation to recognize all nominees and the 2025 Shining Star in each category.

A tremendous thank you to all the amazing educators in our local early learning and childcare community! Your dedication, passion, and committment every single day make such a difference—and we celebrate everything you do!
