ELQI PD Opportunities for February and March 2025

As we approach the end of January, I have completed the registration forms and calendar for PD being offered by ELQI in February and March.

Please remember that registration is required for all PD Opportunities. You can find all the details, links to the registration form, and the date the registration closes for each opportunity in the document in this post.

February and March Library Open Times will be available to see on the blog tomorrow (Wednesday, January 29). Don’t forget that visiting the library can support your professional learning. Library visits can allow the opportunity for you to engage in conversation with me (and anyone else present) and/or to see resources and materials available from the ELQI and Travelling Tales Libraries to support your learning goals. You are also welcome to get in touch before visiting the library to let me know if there is a specific topic you want to discuss and/or materials and resources to explore.

In addition to planning the regular PD opportunities, ELQI is also planning conference days in 2025. These conference days will be offered as one-day conferences, similar to how they were last year, with one taking place in each quarter (January-March, April-June, July-September, and October-December). Tentative dates will be shared as soon as possible.
The March conference is taking a bit longer to get details confirmed; details will be shared as soon as possible!

ELQI opportunities are available at no cost to educators and staff working in licensed childcare (home and centre based), EarlyON, Special Needs Resourcing and Authorized Recreation programs in the City of Kawartha Lakes and County of Haliburton.

Please remember that our office (CLTH Lindsay office: 205 McLaughlin Road) is a scent-sensitive environment. Thank you for being as fragrant-free as possible to help create a safe and accessible environment for everyone.

Please be aware of this location’s scent, contact, and ingestion allergies: citrus, cinnamon, shellfish, peanuts, tree nuts, mushrooms, banana, kiwi, and pineapple. 

These allergies are not limited to consumable items like food, drinks, candy, gum, lozenges, etc., but also includes scented/fragranced items such as lotions, hand sanitizers, essential oils, personal care products, etc. 

Please note there was a correction needed in the document – the Scarborough book study will be occurring on Monday evenings for 5 weeks starting on Monday, March 17, 2025.
