Welcome Hannah

I would like to welcome and introduce Hannah with all of you. Hannah is a RECE who is completing her Resource Consultant placement with the Early Learning Resource Program. Hannah has been with us on Fridays for a number of weeks and will finish her placement in mid-December.

Hannah is working on a couple of projects that we will share more about when we can. One of the opportunities Hannah is also taking on is to co-facilitate the upcoming article study on November 23rd. The article we will be discussing is “White Privilege: Unpacking the Invisible Backpack” by Peggy McIntosh. If you’re interested in joining Hannah and I for this PD opportunity, you can register here. Please know registration will close on Thursday, November 16th at 9 pm.

At the beginning of Hannah’s placement, I had the opportunity to show her the ELQI and Travellling Tales libraries. After having some time to explore the resources in the libraries, Hannah was inspired to create a list of children’s books focusing on diversity and inclusion. We would like to thank Hannah for her generosity for sharing a copy of “Small Things” by Mel Tregonning with the Travelling Tales library. You can read more about this book, along with the other books Hannah compiled into a list to share, in the document below.
