Understanding Job Satisfaction Among Early Childhood Educators

The Make Your Opinion Count: Understanding Job Satisfaction Among Early Childhood Educators Throughout the City of Kawartha Lakes and the County of Haliburton report revealed four key themes:

  1. Emotional labour of the job and time
  2. Relationships (coworkers, supervisors)
  3. System navigation with school relationships
  4. Leadership/Advocacy

Working groups will be established to take recommendations from the research and report into action. If you are interested in being part of moving forward initiatives to improve the local ECE job satisfaction experience, provide your contact information here  Early Years and Child Care Working Group Interest – Fill out form.   Educators are encouraged to express interest in joining a working group, even if they didn’t participate in the original survey or discussion session.

Thank you to Sonya Hill, Trent University PhD student and all educators who participated in this research.
