Early Learning Tools
The Educator Interaction Tool has been developed by Early Learning Quality Initiative (ELQI) as a tool for educators to bring relationships to the forefront of their work. Educators will be able to use this reflective tool to support the Program Support Tool process.
The Educator Interaction Tool, and the full Program Support Tool process, have been established as a strength-based process to support your daily work while aligning with the provincial How Does Learning Happen? pedagogy.
The Program Support Tool is used for the equitable, transparent and consistent supports and services that may be supportive to the program educators to further enhance the inclusion of all children and families.
This tool will allow the Early Learning Resource Program (ELRP) and the Early Learning Quality Initiative (ELQI) to look at patterns for possible future professional learning opportunities within your centre, as well as the community. The educators completing the tool together will establish goals they would like to work on; focusing on 1 to 3 goals at a time is realistic.

To support the eductors and programs in their daily practice, we have developed a resource site that will support Strengthening Our Early Learning Practices Within the Early Learning and Child Care Community in the City of Kawartha Lakes and County of Haliburton.
To access the site please scan the QR codes or go to: https://sites.google.com/view/elqi-resourcesandtools/home
The Early Learning Coordinators will be supporting you with both of these tools and will be beginning this process shortly.
