October Events

We hope everyone is having a fantastic start to September. The Early Learning Team has been hard at work planning some exciting events for October and we can’t wait to share them with you. These opportunities are designed to inspire and support you and hope that you will be able to attend one or all of these great opportunities to connect and collaborate.

On October 1, we are excited to welcome Jack Veitch from the Canadian Mental Health Association to provide a one hour, virtual training for educators on Communication Strategies for School Age children with a focus on mental health and well-being.  Please register by Friday, September 26 at 4:00 pm

On October 2, we are excited to share an opportunity for educator to come and explore our library while learning about the importance of Literacy in the Early Years. You will walk away inspired and with new skills on how to incorporate literacy into your everyday practice and environment.This event will be held in person at our Travelling Tales Resource Library located 205 McLaughlin Road Lindsay.

On October 28, we are excited to welcome Susanna Fisher, Clinical Supervisor from Canopy Support Services to provide a 1.5 hour, virtual training for educators on various diagnoses. We will gain a deeper understanding of these diagnoses as well as strategies on how to best support children in our care. Diagnosis that may be explored include Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder and Pathological Demand Avoidance. Please register by Friday, October 21st, 2025 at 4:00 pm https://forms.gle/VgGJqHE6GWhhxkjc6
