
The City of Kawartha Lakes Children’s Service department in partnership with Trent University Interdisciplinary Social Research PhD candidate Sonya Hill, are conducting a research study on job satisfaction of child care educators in the City of Kawartha Lakes and County of Haliburton.
This research aims to gain a deeper understanding of how satisfied child care educators are within the current child care contexts and identify actionable changes that can be implemented at both organizational and municipal levels to improve retention and recruitment of child care educators.

Interview participants needed!
We are actively seeking child care educators (RECE, non-RECE, supervisors, special needs resourcing and pedagogical leads) to participate in a 30-minute interview with the researcher (Sonya Hill). Each interview participant will receive at $10 gift card. Interviews may be scheduled any time in July and flexible scheduling is available to meet the needs participants.
