Would you like to find some resources that you can use in your program to honour the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation? If so, you might be interested to have a look at the books, kits and resources available to borrow in the ELQI and Travelling Tales Library. Have a look at the gallery of photos in this blog post to see what is available for you to borrow. To borrow materials from the library, you are welcome to visit during any of the open times in September, request materials through Librarika or send me an email to let me know what you would like to borrow.

In this previous blog post, you can find more information about the libraries, including links to the catalogues and how to request materials through the Librarika program.

In addition to the resources available to borrow from the ELQI and Travelling Tales Library, many great resources are available online. ELQI shared a Google Site previously with more information about Self-Directed Indigenous Learning Resources.

If you access additional resources online that can be shared, let me know and I can add them to the list.

The ELQI and Travelling Tales Library is free for all educators working in licensed childcare (both centre and home based care), EarlyON, Authorized Recreation programs and Special Needs Resourcing programs in the City of Kawartha Lakes and County of Haliburton.
