Did you know that ELQI offers Travelling Tales Book Studies as a professional learning opportunity? In these book studies, you do not need to read anything before attending! When we come together, we will read some books together from the category identified for that session. Participants will be able to engage in discussions about the books we read, how the book(s) can be used in their program and how the books read can have an impact on our work.
Our next Travelling Tales Book Study is on Wednesday, August 14th from 6:30-8:30 pm. During our time together we will look at books from the Friendship & Kindness category. We will discuss and reflect on how we support children in our programs to build friendships with one another, embrace kindness and even how to work through challenges and conflict with others. In addition to engaging in the discussions, there will be additional resources shared that can be taken back and used in your program. If you are interested in joining us at this professional learning opportunity, registration is open until Monday, August 12th (or sooner if spaces are filled) at noon and you can register here.

Registration is required for all professional learning opportunities offered by ELQI.
ELQI opportunities (including both libraries) are available at no cost to educators and staff working in licensed childcare (home and centre based), EarlyON, Special Needs Resourcing and Authorized Recreation programs in the City of Kawartha Lakes and County of Haliburton.
