April and May 2024 ELQI PD Opportunities

The days are getting longer (and brighter as the sun shines!) – it looks like spring really is here! There are a number of ELQI PD opportunities being offered throughout April and May.

Registration is required for all ELQI PD Opportunities, with the exception of the scheduled Library Open House times. If you are interested in attending any of the upcoming ELQI PD opportunities, please be sure you register. Late registrations are possible for the Monthly Gatherings and Travelling Tales Book Study as long as there is space.

The educators that have been attending the Monthly Gatherings would love to have more educators from different programs join us to engage in conversations together and share different perspectives.

You will now find on the focus for the next month’s (April) Gathering shared on the document attached and on the registration form; the following month’s (May) Gathering focus will be shared after the April Gathering.

There are a number of registrations that will close on April 2 or 3:

• Bridges Out of Poverty (4 part series) – registration closes on Tuesday, April 2 at 12:00 pm (noon)
• Preschool Gathering (taking place on Wednesday, April 3) – registration has been extended and now closes on Tuesday, April 2 at 12:00 pm (noon)
• recordings to virtual sessions from the Inspiring Early Learning Conference – closes on April 3 at 12:00 pm (noon)
• School Age Gathering (taking place on Wednesday, April 10) – closes on April 3 at 12:00 pm (noon)

ELQI opportunities are available at no cost to educators and staff working in licensed childcare (home and centre based), EarlyON, Special Needs Resourcing and Authorized Recreation programs in the City of Kawartha Lakes and County of Haliburton.
