Monthly Gatherings in 2024

As we are now in the middle of March, the first quarter of Monthly Gatherings are almost complete! Each month there has been four different gatherings offered:

• Infant & Toddler
• Preschool
• School Age (choice of morning or evening session to attend)
• Leadership

Through these gatherings, we continue to have wonderful conversations together while also exploring a variety of materials and resources. Each month, our invitations of materials and things to reflect on and discuss, come from the conversations and questions brought forward in previous months. There are common threads that come up in discussion at each of the gatherings: How Does Learning Happen, our image of the child, loose parts, risky play, program planning, documentation, values, mentoring and coaching others – and so much more!

In addition to having invitations of materials to explore, resources to read (either beforehand and/or at the Gathering to take with you), there are also books from both the ELQI and Travelling Tales Libraries on display.

We are hoping to see educators from more centres/programs able to join us at upcoming gatherings throughout 2024. Participants are able to join in-person or virtually; information is shared with those joining virtually if it would be beneficial for them to have any specific materials with them to participate in activities with the group.

Registration information:

• Registration for all monthly gatherings closes at 12:00 pm (noon) one week before the session.
• Registration is needed for each monthly gathering you are wanting to attend.
• If you want to register after registration has closed, please send me an email no later than 4 pm on the day of the session to let me know if you would like to attend virtually or in-person; as long as there is space, I can add you to the registration list.
• Participants who register late will not receive materials/resources that are limited in quantity if they are shared.
