A group of children from the Compass Early Learning and Care Lindsay Program’s school age group walked to our Lindsay office to add some painted rocks to the rock snake! I loved hearing their stories about the process of their creations and the rocks they created to add to our rock snake. After a little visit and some great conversations, they picked some of the blank rocks to take back to the program with them to paint and come back another day to add more to the rock snake.
If you would like to add more rocks to our rock snake, you’re more than welcome to! It can be found in the garden area in the middle of our parking lot at our Lindsay office. You can bring rocks anytime you are coming to attend an ELQI PD opportunity or visit the library; you could also make arrangements with the Early Learning Coordinator who visits your program to add them to the rock snake for you. It is best if the rocks can be clear coated to protect from the weather elements to help them last longer.
Thank you to everyone who has been adding to the rock snack over the last year – it brings lots of smiles to those who see it.
