Saturday, April 13, 2024 we will be hosting a one day conference. We welcome Michelle and Mary to share The Seven Grandfather Teachings with us. This event will be held at Celebrations (35 Lindsay Street North, Lindsay).
Details about our day together:
The Seven Grandfather Teachings also called The Seven Sacred Teachings is a set of teachings on how humans should be around each other and treat each other. It is said that this was the way of the Anishinabe People to have their communities survive in the world. Michelle and Mary will share the teachings as well as the animals that sit in each of the teachings. You will make a kit that can be used to further your knowledge and use it in a classroom setting to help others learn about the teachings. You will receive a booklet that will help you further understand the teachings and can reproduce the book for your classroom.
This one-day conference is free to educators and staff working in licensed childcare (home and centre based), EarlyON programs, Authorized Recreation and Special Needs Resourcing. Please ensure you follow the procedure for cancellation and non-attendance to avoid being invoiced for this event. There is a non-attendance fee of $25.
