February is Black History Month. We invite you to celebrate, honour and acknowledge the powerful stories that include achievements and struggles throughout Black History. Take some time to look at community resources and events taking place resources shared online.
Did you know there are a number of resources available for educators working in our local early learning and childcare community to access for free? Have a look through the gallery of photos at just a few of the materials available to celebrate, honour and acknowledge Black History. You can find more information about the libraries in this previous blog post.
You are also welcome to drop in to one of the February Library Open House times (Saturday, February 10th from 10 am until 1 pm and Tuesday, February 13 from 2 pm until 7 pm) to look at and reflect on the unlearn poster shared on our bulletin board.
“I believe design has the ability to challenge the way people think and ultimately change the world.” – Abhi Ahluwalia, founder of unlearn
