I know – it’s still the beginning of August and I’m not trying to rush summer away! I am working at the September PD opportunities and wanted to ensure there is enough time for anyone interested in joining our next book study to have time to register and receive a copy of the book if they are borrowing it from our library.
Bobby Knott will be joining us to facilitate this book study discussion for 5 weeks beginning on September 13th from 6:30-8:30 pm. You will have the opportunity to attend the discussions in person or virtually.

These PD opportunities are available at no cost to educators and staff working in licensed childcare (home and centre based), EarlyON, Special Needs Resourcing and Authorized Recreation programs in the City of Kawartha Lakes and County of Haliburton.

I have a conflict and cannot attend the first session on Sept. 13th. Will the following sessions be on the next 4 Wednesdays in Sept and Oct? Can I still partake if I miss the first session?

Yes, the remaining sessions will be weekly on Wednesdays (5 weeks total). I will confirm with the facilitator, but I think it would be okay – there may be some things discussed that are built upon in the weeks that follow. It might be a great opportunity to see if anyone else at your program is interested in participating too – then they could fill you in on the first discussion.
