2 opportunities to join me on March 22

Next week there are two opportunities to join me next week: there is the Library Open House on Wednesday afternoon (no registration is needed – just drop in between 4:30-6:00) and the Wellness Community of Practice on Wednesday evening (registration closes at 9pm on Monday, March 20).

There is a slight change to the hours for the Library Open House; it will now be from 4:30-6:00 pm (instead of starting at 3:00).

The Wellness Community of Practice is going to be an opportunity to explore a variety of art materials and I will share some ideas/prompts to get you started if you’re not sure where to start.

Have a look at the photo to see a few of the materials that will be available to explore if you are joining in person: dotted grid paper, decorative tapes, a variety of pens/markers, watercolour paints, and a variety of paper to use. There will also be more available to use than what is pictured. You might want to create a bookmark, create a multi-media piece, explore using different papers available or something completely different!

If you are joining virtually, you will still be able to join us by collecting a few materials you have available to you (you do not need to go purchase anything special!). Some materials to gather: paper (different varieties if available; if not, anything will do!), pencil, black marker, a flat stone/coin, something to color with (crayons, markers, paints -anything).

The materials we explore in this session will not only support our own wellness, but could be share some ideas for you to try in your program.

I will also share some samples available for you to take from resources available in the library.

If you’re interested in attending the March Wellness Community of Practice, be sure to register here before 9 pm on Monday, March 20th.
