We are not all musicians…so how can we offer children music experiences? Many adults working with children love music, but do not necessarily believe that they have the skills to support children in the exploration of music. Come explore ways in which music can become alive with children during their outdoor play experiences

Dr. Beverlie Dietze is the Director of Learning and Applied Research at Okanagan College. She is a lead researcher on several research projects focused on examining strategies to advance children’s outdoor play through training and space design. She is the author of seven textbooks related to play and children’s programming, the editor of the Play Outdoors magazine, and has several peer-reviewed articles published on early childhood and adult education topics. She is the recent publisher of the Play Outdoors magazine. Beverlie is a graduate of the University of New Brunswick, St. Francis Xavier University, and the University of Toronto.
